Getting started

The Tessera API gives you access to your organization's event and ticketing data.

The API is available on paid plans. A request from an organization whose plan does not include it is refused with 403 plan_upgrade_required.

Create an API key

  1. In the Tessera dashboard, open Integrations.
  2. Under Public API keys, choose Create key and give it a name you will recognise later, such as the tool or partner that will use it.
  3. Copy the key. This is the only time it is shown. It is stored hashed and cannot be recovered.

Only organization admins can create keys. Team members can see which keys exist but cannot create or revoke them.

Make your first call

Send the key in the Tessera-Api-Key header on every request:

curl -H 'Tessera-Api-Key: tess_sk_...' \
https://public-api-dev.yourtessera.com/v1/me

That returns the organization your key belongs to, which is the quickest way to confirm the key works:

{
"id": "org_019f6a66-1d0a-7dbc-b626-6a438f6e525b",
"apiKeyName": "Partner integration",
"name": "Acme Events",
"slug": "acme-events",
"plan": "Pro"
}

Base URL

Every request goes to:

https://public-api-dev.yourtessera.com

Paths are versioned, so a full URL looks like https://public-api-dev.yourtessera.com/v1/me.
